Our house is ideally located in the village of Bois-Plage, close to the beach (a 3 minute walk, at the end of the street). Modern and warm, equipped with a large swimming pool and located close to the bike path that leads to the other villages, it is a haven of peace to relax in all seasons.

HOUSE / DISTRIBUTION OF ROOMS: 5 bedrooms - 3 bathrooms - 3 toilets

Kitchen: U.S. kitchen open to the dining room. Very well equipped (oven/microwave oven/dishwasher/Nespresso coffee machine/mixer/dishes, dishes, utensils of all kinds).

Lounge: 2 large sofas including 1 convertible (very nice to sleep - 160 cm wide) - 2 club chairs (very nice to read!), fireplace, games, books

“3-bedroom” corner: Behind a glass door separating the living room and the “3-bedroom” corner, you will find: a children's room overlooking the patio (2 single beds, "race car" style), another bedroom overlooking the patio (double bed 160 cm wide), and a third bedroom overlooking the street but still very quiet (double bed) + 1 bathroom + 1 toilet

Master ensuite bedroom: large bedroom overlooking the swimming pool, with 2 single beds and a ensuite bathroom (including shower + bathtub) overlooking the pool - toilet

Dependence/Studio: 1 bedroom (lite king size) - 1 bathroom - 1 toilet

Garage with electric door: possibility to park your car here if you need but not really necessary as there are free parking spaces in the street and the garage is more useful to leave the bikes when you get in/get out. Up to you!

LOCATION:

The house is located in the village of Bois-Plage, according to us one of the most pleasant on the island for holidays. First, it has some of the best beaches on the island, second it is not very far from the bridge (our house is about 35 minutes’ drive from the train station in La Rochelle, and 20 minutes from the airport), and finally because it is very well connected and close to other lively villages (Saint-Martin and La Flotte in particular, well known for their bars, restaurants and shopping opportunities) while being more peaceful (which is great during the crowdy summer time!). The house is also located on the side of the village closest to La Couarde (a 10-minute bike ride) where you will find other beautiful beaches.

In Bois Plage, you will also find an exceptional market, a very good butcher, and great little cafes (the Beach Bar near the beach of the Gollandières, or the “Q salés” near the market, to name a few). The village centre and market square are close to home, a 5-minute bike ride and a 10-min walk).

Finally, if you want to play sports: there is a tennis club in the village, a surf/paddle club and a beach volleyball club.

BEACHES:

The most immediate beach is located at the end of our street (we are one of the last houses on the street, close to the dune). It is superb and less crowded than its neighbors because there is no indication or parking! Nearby, you will find the beach of the “Petit Sergent”, the beach of the “Gollandières”, and a little further, the beach of “Pas des Boeufs” and “Gros Jonc”.
