Our house of approximately 90m2 is spacious, bright, not overlooked and largely open onto the garden. It has 2 bedrooms, one with shower and sink, an additional bathroom, a large mezzanine with sofa bed and TV, a living room and a large kitchen / dining room opening onto the terrace.
Outside you will find several different places, terraces or natural spaces, to enjoy the shade or the sun as you wish or even hang your hammock between the large pine trees in the garden or in the holm oak which houses the children's cabin (to be used under the responsibility of the parents)
The land is located at the end of a little-used path, in a small quiet hamlet of a few houses on the edge of a large protected natural area (Natura 2000) ideal for walks.
At the end of the path from the house you can go down the cliff to access a pebble beach where you will find enough sand to put your towel down without anyone around. You can swim at high tide with beach slippers or wait for low tide to go fishing for some crabs and shrimps around the old stone fish lock.
This small haven, protected from the intense summer crowds of the island, is nevertheless only 800 meters (10 minutes on foot) from the village of La Noue, which has a bakery, a newsagent, a few cafes and restaurants, and a small market open every day.
Our house is a well-maintained and lived-in family home. It has the charm of its history and small collections of shells on shelves gleaned by several generations of children, but also the small flaws of a living house, including the parquet floor that creaks in dry weather... You will not be in a hotel or in accommodation formatted for rental, but if this spirit appeals to you, we hope that you will share the same pleasure that we had staying here.
